About DF Web Services...

DF Web Services has been designing web sites for over 4 years now. Until recently, outward appearance and good SEO (Search Engine Optimization) was the main focus. Since this is a one-man operation and keeping up with HTML etiquette seemed like a daunting task, 2006 was more or less a year off for web designing. I practically shut things down and put links to other web designing web sites on my pages.

In December of 2006 I decided to "get back into the swing of things". I crammed, studdied and practiced... and realized the latest web standards, HTML 4.01, and XHTML 1.0 are not that daunting once you get used to it. I even went the full mile and tried my hand at a "table-less" design (layout is controlled completely by CSS - a stylesheet, not by tables). This website happens to be 100% CSS (and php) driven.

I may sneak a table in here and there as I redesign and validate current and new websites, as some designs could be rather tricky otherwise, but tables are still valid, so we're safe for now.

Bottom line is the standards are in place so there should not be any cross-browser compatibility problems. If the website is "glitchy" in a particular browser, it's the browser's fault, not the designer's.

This website is 100% XHTML 1.0 compliant. These are the latest standards in web designing. To accomodate many features, my target compliance is HTML 4.01 Traditional, which allows for some leeway in design features. I am looking forward to designing YOUR website in the future!
